Services and Fees

Generally Dresch Law llc charges flat fees for services

The flat fees listed here are available in estate planning situations which involve ordinary costs and that do not involve an extraordinary amount of time or research.

The fee for my services will be set forth in your proposed Engagement Letter. If at any point after you have hired me there is any fee which falls outside that set forth in the Engagement Letter - for example if your matter is more complex than originally anticipated - I will advise you in writing at the earliest opportunity.

My hourly rate is also available in instances where this would be more cost-effective, for example a la carte services.

Generally flat fees include: three one-hour conferences, preparation for conferences, preparation of correspondence and other documents, legal research, court appearances if necessary, phone calls with clients and others involved in the matter, and ordinary costs associated with the type of matter such as filing/recording fees, copying costs and postage.

  • Estate Plan

Generally the flat fee for estate plans for couples is $2,000. For individuals it is $1,000. This includes preparation of a Last Will and Testament, Durable Power of Attorney, Healthcare Power of Attorney, Living Will, and HIPAA Release. I will also prepare forms to address organ donation and to appoint a representative to handle funeral arrangements.

  • Trusts

Preparation of a Revocable Living Trust starts at $1,000. The type and complexity of the trust drives the price.

  • A La Carte

Quotes for a la carte services are provided upon request. Depending on your needs this may be the most cost efficient option. For example, you may need to update only one or two documents in your estate plan to account for changes in your personal situation. Or, you may only need one estate plan document to address a particular need.

Fee policies

Any additional services outside the scope of work described in your Engagement Letter will be the subject of a separate engagement letter.

To assure I can provide quality service at a fair flat rate, unscheduled phone calls requiring more than 10 minutes will be billed at an hourly rate measured by 6-minute intervals. I reserve the right to similarly bill for conferences cancelled less than 24 hours in advance absent emergency.

Payment information

Currently payment is accepted by credit card, check, or cash.

Clients may choose to be invoiced or pay fees up front. Your Engagement Letter will state when you will be invoiced and when payment will be due. Fees paid up front are held in escrow until earned according to the schedule set forth in the Engagement Letter.

If you are a current client and are unable to make a payment, please contact me as soon as possible.
